We are seeking a part-time kennel technician to join our team! This is a great job for people interested in the veterinary field and wanting to get their foot in the door. Most kennel technicians are between 16-18 years old as it is a great after-school position. As a kennel technician, you are responsible for assisting doctors and technicians with duties such as: -Animal restraint -Maintaining a clean and sterile work environment -In-patient animal care -Monitor patient's comfort -Sterilizing surgical equipment, stocking hospital supplies, basic cleaning duties -Medicating patients as instructed by doctor and technicians
Applicants must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and exhibit compassion, multitasking abilities, and flexibility. Shifts may change based on the needs of patients and the hospital, however we are seeking an assistant to begin working 3pm-close 4 days per week, plus 2-3 hours on weekends. Please note that this position requires applicants to care for hospitalized patients for 2-3 hours per weekend. Starting pay is negotiable based on performance
