We are seeking a part-time veterinary assistant (or licensed technician) to join our team! As a veterinary assistant, you are responsible for assisting doctors and technicians with duties such as: -Animal restraint -Performing surgery prep -Maintaining a clean and sterile work environment -In-patient animal care -Monitor patient's comfort -Taking detailed patient history from owners -Medicating patients as instructed by doctors
Applicants must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and exhibit compassion, multitasking abilities, and flexibility. Shifts may change based on the needs of the patients and the hospital, however we are seeking an assistant to work around 30-35 hours per week. Salary is negotiable based on experience.
Required Qualifications: -High school diploma or equivalent -Experience working with animals and/or as a kennel tech/veterinary assistant is preferred but not required.
